Marsanne Wild Ferment 2016

Heritage Estate Wines

94 points – 2018 James Halliday Wine Companion

A perfect vintage for this alternative variety. Wild yeast fermented and aged for 10 months on lees. Aromas of citrus, dried apricot and spice with a textured and powerful palate that finishes with mineral acidity.

A great wine to be enjoyed with food. Developing nice complexity over the next 5 years.

Heritage Estate Wines was established in 1992 by Bryce & Paddy Kassulke, converting an old brick cold stores at Cottonvale (Granite Belt, Queensland) into an atmospheric cellar door and creating a vineyard next door. This location is used for the growing and making of all their wines as well as special occasions such as weddings and corporate functions.

Since then, Bryce & Paddy Converted and Restored an old church which originated in Burleigh Heads (Gold Coast, Queensland) but was moved to Mount Tamborine. On this new location, Bryce and Paddy built the stunning glass chapel and decked area to capture the picturesque country valleys as well as views of the Gold Coast. This venue commonly holds weddings and other special events and as it has its own restaurant, it is always open to lunch.

From these two founding locations, Bryce and Paddy were then able to expand their business further into Thulimbah and the popular tourist location of "Gallery Walk" on Mount Tamborine.
